Women’s Half Marathon 2013 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Date: Sunday April 28, 2013

Event Times: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Street Closings: The Metropolitan Police Department will begin closing streets at  approximately 6:00 AM:

 

The race will start at 6th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Proceed northwest on Pennsylvania Avenue to 9th Street NW and turn left.

South through the 9th Street tunnel to Maine Avenue SW and turn right.

North on Maine Avenue SW to 15th Street and turn left on Independence Avenue.

West on Independence Avenue to 23rd Street SW and turn right on 23rd Street.

Left on the Lincoln Memorial Circle onto Memorial Bridge.

West on Memorial Bridge and clockwise around Memorial Circle.

East on Memorial Bridge to the Lincoln Memorial Circle and onto Rock Creek Parkway.

North on Rock Creek Parkway to Virginia Avenue NW.

Turn around on Rock Creek Parkway at Virginia Avenue SW.

South on Rock Creek Parkway/Potomac Parkway.

Proceed under the Memorial Bridge and turn left onto Independence Avenue.

East on Independence Avenue SW to Maine Avenue SW.

Maine on East Basin Drive SW to Ohio Drive SW.

South on Ohio Drive SW into East Potomac Park and take Ohio Drive through the park.

Exit the park on Ohio Drive and turn right onto Maine Avenue.

Southeast on Maine Avenue SW.

Turn left on 9th Street SW heading into the tunnel.

North on 9th Street through the tunnel to Pennsylvania Avenue NW and turn left.

Northwest to Freedom Plaza where the race will end at 12th Street NW.

 

Connecting streets will be closed to accommodate the race.
